Tom is a fully accredited member of the Professional Garden Consultants Association, and is also the secretary (and former chairman) of the Scottish branch of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture. Garden and grounds consultancy services are offered in the Glasgow area, and further afield for larger jobs or property portfolios.
Consultancy services are offered for clients such as architects, landscape architects, developers and property manaagers. Tom has many years' experience in horticultural maintenance, soft landscaping and garden design, alongside training in the control of invasive weeds, ecological surveying and habitat management. This means that clients benefit from a holistic approach that encompasses the cosmetic appearance of their gardens, with their function as a biodiversity and green space asset, along with a pragmatic, commercially-aware sense of how to achieve the best results in the most efficient way possible. In some instances we can also work hands-on, alongside your existing gardeners if required, to ensure the correct implementation of garden management plans.
Previous clients include South Lanarkshire Council, The National Trust for Scotland, Cairngorms National Park Authority, The Outdoor Access Trust for Scotland and various private estates.
